Today I was shopping at a local ethnic grocery store where the produce is interesting and various. There are wrinkled gourds and strange substances in unintelligible jars. I generally resist the temptation, though sometimes these fruits and vegetables remain untouched in my fridge till they rot because I can't figure out what to do with them. Today, however, I was drawn to the bright yellow Buddha's hand citron because I actually wanted to put a picture of it here. To me it looks like a deformed foot or a deranged anemone, but it smells sweet, like lemon soap. I don't know if I'll eat it. Anyone want it?
