Addendum

I might as well add that I have been wondering whether old Ganesh, who resides on my hearth, a gift from my yoga teacher, has worked his will on my life. Ganesh is the Hindu bringer of obstacles. He also, not incidentally, dispels these, but not until he brings them first. Hm.

You know how some people who are having trouble selling their houses bury a St. Joseph statue upside down in the yard? Just take that old Ganesh and toss him in the ashes until he behaves...

I never heard of that about St. Joseph. What does he represent? That's a pretty funny idea. The groundskeepers wouldn't like it much though! I'd probably disrupt the sprinkler system or something.
